5.2 Non-Recoverable Error
The non-recoverable screen (right) is
displayed when the system detects an error/
failure condition that impacts the essential
performance of the system.
If this screen is displayed during the use of
electrocautery, the error condition may be
recoverable by switching the nerve monitor
off using the mains power switch on the
rear of the base, waiting 30 seconds and
switching the nerve monitor back on.
External
USB
If the error persists, this is a non-recoverable error
and you must contact the service provider to
arrange for a repair.
The alarm banner displays the type of fault
detected and the service contact details are
displayed on the screen. In order to export the fault
details insert a USB memory stick into the external
USB port (right) and press
. This information
can then be sent to the relevant service provider
for further evaluation.
5.3 System Alarms & Messages
Banner Message Action
'Check Electrode Connection'
Check the electrode's connection to the patient. Re-
insert or replace the electrode if necessary.
Check that the electrode lead is correctly connected
in the pre-amplifier socket.
This alarm may be shown briefly during the use of
electrocautery, if the problem persists contact your
service provider. Contact details can be found on page
ii.
' Impedance Too Low. Reduce
Primary Output Voltage'
Ensure that the stimulating probe is not in contact
with a metallic object.
Reduce the stimulating voltage by rotating the left
stimulator (STIM1) dial clockwise.
If the problem persists contact your service provider.

instructed to do so in the following table:
