4.9 Pre-Amplifier Replacement

To change the pre-amplifier mid-surgery do not press stop to end monitoring. If the

pre-amplifier is changed mid-surgery to a higher capacity (i.e. 4 to 8) transfer the

electrodes to the corresponding sockets, the channels do not have to be reconfigured.

If the pre-amplifier is changed mid-surgery to a lower capacity (i.e. 8 to 4) the screen

below will be shown:

• In this case it is not necessary to match the channel colours. Instead connect the

required electrodes into any available channel on the pre-amplifier. The reference

electrode/s (green) must be transferred to the reference electrode channel.

• Connect the pre-amplifier and press 'YES' to reconfigure the channels from the

channel settings tab (see "c. Procedure Settings" on page 49 to reconfigure your

channels). Do not stop monitoring.

• Press 'NO' to end the procedure and exit the monitoring screen.
