3.3 Verify Power and Communications
3.3.1 Verify Power Supply
Note: LumaSense supplies the connector but does not supply a power cable for the
EZHub or i Core. Ensure the cables you are using are the right length for the planned
installation locations.
EZHub
Ensure input power is available for the EZHub by identifying a V AC / V
DC source and installing any necessary power cables using an
appropriate conduit. The EZHub requires 90 to 264 Volts AC, 127 V DC
to 370 V DC, 47-63 Hz, 2.5 A max.
Use size 14 AWG wire for the included crimps and connectors to bring
power to the EZHub. Each EZHub must have a 10 A circuit breaker for
system isolation and protection (customer-provided).
In addition, both the EZHub and SmartDGA Instrument must have a
low-impedance path to a trusted grounding source. Ensure a
grounding source is available for the EZHub at the mounting location.
External Computer Verify computer has power supply (battery or otherwise).

connectors to bring power to the
i Core. Each i Core must have a 10 A
circuit breaker for system isolation and protection (separate from any
other
i Core or EZHub units).
3.3.2 Verify Communications
Verify Ethernet or RS485 equipment available:

If Ethernet, verify that a switch is available if installed on a corporate network or that a
hub is available if installed on a standalone network.
o
If RS485 to USB, locate included converter.
