Introduction

Install the 

LI7500 PC Communications Software

This software is required for communicating with a computer.  Installation instructions can be
found in Section 3, Installing the PC Communications Software on Your Computer.

Connect the RS-232 Cables

For convenience when operating the LI-7500 in the laboratory, a short adapter cable (#9975-
015) is provided for connecting the instrument to your computer.

a.

Open the control box.

b.

Unplug the internal RS-232 connector from the board, as shown in Figure 1-2.

c.

Plug the 9975-015 adapter cable (Figure 1-2) into this connector.

d.

Connect the DB-9 end of the adapter cable to your computer using the 9975-016 cable.
