Receiving Data and Fax Calls
Most users use the Sprint PCS Wireless Web
Connection to place outgoing data/fax calls. But
you can also set up your Sprint PCS Phone to receive
(host) data and fax calls. Because each phone
model is different, the Sprint PCS Wireless Web
Connection Kit doesn't include instructions for how
to set up your phone to receive data and fax calls.
To set up your Sprint PCS Phone to receive a data or
fax call:
1. If the Main Menu appears, tap Settings . If the
Main Menu does not appear, tap
Go To
, and
then tap Home . The Main Menu screen
appears. Scroll and tap Settings . The Settings
screen appears.

On the top right part of the screen, tap the
down arrow.
3. Tap Phone Setup . The Phone Setup
screen appears.
4. Tap the down arrow under Data/Fax In .
5. Tap whether you want to receiving Incoming
Faxes , Incoming Data , or Off .
Once you've received the incoming data/fax call,
you may want to return the phone to its normal
state by disabling incoming data/fax calls.
Note:
Incoming voice
calls are not
possible when your
Sprint PCS Phone
is set to receive
data/fax calls.

Sprint PCS Wireless Web
Connection
Sprint PCS Wireless Web Connection allows you to
use your Sprint PCS Phone in place of a computer
modem. Whatever you've done with a modem
before, you can now do with your Sprint PCS Phone.
With an ordinary "wireline" modem, your
computer can connect only when and where you
can find an available wall jack. With Sprint PCS
Wireless Web Connection, your computer can
connect over the Sprint PCS Network, giving you
the freedom to access information when and where
you choose.
To use the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Connection with
your Sprint PCS Phone, you'll need the Sprint PCS
Wireless Web Connection Kit. The kit contains
everything you need, including a complete
user guide.
