Changing Your Standby Mode
Display Banner
The banner lets you customize up to 16 characters
of text displayed on the first line of your phone’s
display screen in Standby mode. To create or change
your banner:
1.
From the main menu, highlight Display and
press .
2.
Highlight Banner and press .
The current banner displays.
3. Highlight Change and press .
4.
Press to erase current text.
5.
Enter characters the same way you do for the
Phone Book. (See “Getting to Know your
Sprint PCS Phone” on page 25 for details).
Changing the Backlight Time Length
Backlight lets you choose how long the display
screen and keypad are backlit after any key press is
made. Options are:
Always Off
8 seconds
15 seconds
30 seconds
Always On
To change the time of backlight:
1. From the main menu, highlight
Display
and
press .
2. Press to select
Backlight
.
3. Highlight the amount of time you want the
backlight to be turned on and press .
