Launching the Sprint PCS Wireless
Web Browser
To launch the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Browser
when the flip is closed:
Press and release . You'll see a few
introductory messages as the browser launches.
To launch the Sprint PCS Wireless Web Browser
when the flip is open:
From the main menu, tap Browser . You'll
see a few introductory messages as the
browser launches.
The first time you use the browser, you'll be
prompted to enable the security feature. This
automatic process will take 3-6 minutes to complete
and it occurs just once. When the process is
complete, you're ready to start using the Sprint PCS
Wireless Web.
Tip:
Remember,
anytime you see
the On Call icon
on your display,
your phone is
connected to the
Sprint PCS Nation-
wide Network and
you are billed
accordingly.
The Sprint PCS Wireless
Web Browser
Your Sprint PCS phone is equipped with a miniature
web browser, which allows you to access up-to-the
minute information through the Sprint PCS
Wireless Web.
You can view specially-designed text versions of
popular Internet sites, including Yahoo!
® ,
Amazon.com ® , The Weather Channel ® , and more.
Browsing the Sprint PCS Wireless Web using your
phone is different than using a home computer
because the amount of information is reduced (sites
usually display only their most critical aspects) and
most of the graphics have been removed.
The browser connects to the Internet by placing a call.
Note that a phone icon appears on the display
whenever a call is in progress, just as with a regular
voice call. Service charges vary depending on your
service option.
No sign-up is required to use the browser. However,
we recommend you sign up for the Sprint PCS
Wireless Web option, which is more economical
