e. Enter the desired IP address for connecting the MDC to the Eyewitness
®
HD. As
mentioned above the default address for the MDC IP is 192.168.2.37. Whatever
address is entered here must match the address listed in the Eyewitness
®
HD
Network menu as the MDC IP. The subnet will typically be 255.255.255.0. After
these values have been placed into the correct areas, select OK.

Return to the directory where the MDC application is installed (Typically, C:\Program
Files\Kustom Signals Inc\MDC) and open the file called PreInitSettings.json using a text
editor. This file will look as shown below. Edit the IP address with the value of the IP
address that is the DVR IP in the Eyewitness
®
HD Network Settings menu. (Default is
192.168.2.20). Save this file.

Return to the computer’s desktop and find the Eyewitness
®
HD icon. If the icon is not
present, look through the applications and create a shortcut on the desktop. Once the
rest of the system has been installed, confirm that double-clicking on this icon results in
the program opening and that the program is fully functional.
