In-Car Video System
above, item 10 is the primary Wi-Fi antenna connection and item 9 is the secondary
Wi-Fi antenna connection. Item 8 is for future enhancements.
Mini-Octopus (Mini-OTP)
– The Mini-OTP cable has connections for Audio 1 input,
Audio 2 input (optional) and Radar input (optional).
Display –
This connector is for Tablet Monitor Controller (TMC) cable.
Ethernet 1 –
This connection is used to facilitate data transfer from the DVR to the
station based file server via an Ethernet cable.
Ethernet 2 –
This connection is used to connect to an optional Mobile Data Computer
(MDC). This connection will allow the Eyewitness
®
HD system to be controlled by the
MDC.
Ethernet 3 –
This connector will be used for future expansion of the Eyewitness
®
HD
system.
DVR Heat Management
When installing the DVR, the technician needs to be aware of the heat management features
of the DVR. There are three vent holes in the top of the DVR, near the back, in the trough of
the last rib.

On the rear of the DVR, the technician will find the fins of the heat sink.

When selecting a mounting location and position, the technician must ensure that these heat
management features are not covered. Failure to do so may allow the DVR to overheat and
shutdown.
