Checking the brake
Actuate the brake.
ð
If the cylinder stroke is
W=25±5 mm
, the setting is correct.
ð
If the cylinder stroke W is greater than 30 mm, the brake linkage (3.1, 3.2) must be
extended.
Check whether the wheels turn freely when the brake is released.
ð
The unbraked wheels must be able to rotate freely without grinding noises.
ð
If the wheels do not rotate freely, the brake linkage (3.1, 3.2) must be shortened.
Before putting the brake back into operation, check that the safety installation functions.
Setting brake linkage
If the dimension W is not within the range
W=25±5 mm
, the brake linkage (3.1, 3.2) must be
extended as follows.
ü
The machine is shut down and safeguarded,
.
ü
The pad thickness of the brake shoes must have a minimum thickness,
.
ü
The brake drums have been checked,
.
ü
For all settings the compensation lever (5) must be positioned both in the oblong hole (4) at
the rear and in the upper area (6) of the support / holder (7).
Loosen the respective counter nuts (2) or (8).
Turn the respective brake linkage (3.1) or (3.2) so that the respective brake linkage (3.1,
3.2) is extended.
Always ensure to change the length of both brake linkages (3.1, 3.2). The brake linkages
(3.1, 3.2) may have to be extended to a varying degree.
