“Contour” grinding data
8.4.1 Data
“Path for contour and image file”: names the
sub-directory in which the contour description and
image file of the knife is located. The complete
path is shown in the control unit (example: Small
Knife = C:\Knecht\VISU\Product Data\Small Knife).
“Image file name”: File name of the knife image
(file extension “.gif”)
“Holder”: Index as to which holder will be used
for processing the knife (matching holder data are
set in the settings under “F7 Holder Data” (8-1/7))
“Processing speed”: Processing speed at which
the knife rotates during the grinding process
(mm / s)
“Front speed”
“Rear speed”
“Knife thickness”: Thickness of the knife
“Offset”: Offset from holder
“Front offset”: true = front offset, false = rear
offset
8.4.2 Contour
“Contour type”: Contour description type of the
knife (1 = “.csv” file with two-dimensional xy
contour, 2 = circular knife, 3 = knife with unevenly
straight blade surfaces). This is also described in a
“.csv” file.
“File name”: File name of the knife contour (file
extension “.csv”)
“Circular knife diameter”: Diameter of the circular
knife to be ground. A “-” (minus) must be entered
in the file name for circular knives.
