Text ID Tag Operation

Text ID tag is a useful auto-naming feature to systematically pre-
configure (project) text names for test results stored in memory.

Note that this instruction does not refer to storing of test results; it
refers to setting up a collection of user defined names that can be
conveniently recalled as needed.

A Text ID tag is formed by 6 letters and a 4-digit fiber index, e.g.
ABCDEF0001. The last 4 numbers auto-increment as results are

stored. The incremented number is also recalled if this tag is called
again.

Up to 20 user-created Text ID Tags can be stored. A new Text ID Tag
can be created or modified while in Meter menu or in Autotest.

Text ID tag detail is independent of the actual memory location within

the instrument. A Text ID tag number can be re-used, and it will store
in the next available empty memory location.

Use a Stored Text ID Tag

Delete a Text ID Tag

button above “FIBER ID”

to select a stored

ID Tag.

Press button below [EDIT] then [DEL] followed by [SAVE].

Text ID tags can only be deleted one at a time.

Create a New Text ID Tag

Enter Meter or AUTO menu.

•

Press

button above “FIBER ID”

, then [NEW]. You will see a

new ID Tag, AAAAAA0001, with the 1

character flashing.

Press

to select new alphanumeric character, then

press

Toggle Centre

to move to the next character.
