Menu Navigation Tips
For your later reference, please note the convenient Quick Reference
Guide at the back of this manual. Refer also to the display picture at
the start of this manual
Menu navigation is consistent, and a few conventions cover most
operations:
•
The Main function keys are F1 – F4
•
To go back a level, push “home” F1
•
To toggle the backlight, use the dedicated button above the
display.
•
To update the power meter reference, hold down the “set
ref” key
( F2 ) for 3 seconds until beeping stops.
•
To modify any parameter such as λ , memory location etc,
use the - / + keys.
•
To Toggle any binary parameter (like source on/off) use the
Toggle Centre key.
•
General memory operations such as store to memory or
dump to USB, are performed by the grey triangular button
above the display. If no USB key is inserted, operating this
button stores into memory. If a USB key is inserted and
recognised (shown on the LCD), this button dumps the
entire memory into a new file on the USB key.
LCD General Information
•
The power meter / loss display can show up to 3 active test
λ at once. The number of active λ shown will depend on the
options and tests chosen.
•
Because the displayed information is comprehensive,
overall operation is simpler.
•
The custom display has excellent viewing angle, contrast,
sunlight readability and temperature range.
•
The backlight is only needed in very poor lighting conditions.
It uses reliable white LEDs.
