CALIBRATION AND MAINTENANCE

Press [-] or [+] to set the 

λ

 to be calibrated.  

 

Record the light source power measured by reference 

power meter. 

 

Transfer this power level to the meter to be calibrated.  

 

To modify calibration, press [F3] or [F4]. 

 

To save new calibration setting, press [Set Ref]. 

 

To cancel unsaved changes, press [Home]. 

Light Source Calibration 

The emitter power level is adjusted to match the output level displayed 
on the LCD, and the device current can be checked. 

Required  are  reference  power  meter  with  appropriate  calibrated 

λ

single  mode  and  multimode  test  leads.  Check  the  calibration 
certificates on your reference equipment to ensure current validity. 

Calibrate the source at the selected 

λ

 as follows:  

 

Remove batteries, connect to external USB power.  

 

Using tweezers, place a link across gold plated calibration 

contacts inside battery compartment, Figure 2. Turn on 
external power via micro USB. 

 

Press [F1] to select source calibration. 

Press [ + ] or [ - ] to set the 

λ

 to be calibrated. Measure light 

source power using the reference meter. 

 

Set the emitter power to the required level by pressing [F3] or 

[F4]. 

 

Press [F2] to save new value. 

 

To return to main calibration menu, press [Home] 

 

To  cancel  unsaved  changes,  press  [Toggle  centre]  or 

[Home]. 

 

Repeat the above process for any additional 

λ

 if required.
