SERVICE INSPECTION RECORDS
MAINTENANCE SERVICE RECORDS
The remainder of this book contains a separate record for each of the scheduled
maintenance services recommended for vehicles operating under normal
conditions. Printed on each voucher is a list of all the items requiring attention for
that particular service. As each service is performed and the record removed, the
following service record is readily visible to remind you when the next service is due.
Sequence of service with PACCAR MX-13 is as follows:
First 10,000 kilometre (First Service) will be performed without cost for labour by
the Selling Dealer. This replaces the first “A” Service.

What the owner should do
When service, according to the time or distance interval is due, the owner
should present this voucher book to an authorised Kenworth service dealer
as an authority to have the items listed attended to. After the service is
completed, the owner should ensure the validation record is stamped and
signed by the servicing dealer. This is important as it will enhance the
value of the vehicle whenever resale is contemplated.
What the Servicing Dealer has to do
Your service dealer must attend to all items listed for the particular service,
and see that both copies of the validation record are signed. Tear out
the perforated top copy and keep with dealership file. The second copy
remains in this handbook. All operations listed on the service records
should be carried out following the procedures set out in the appropriate
current Maintenance and Lubrication Schedules.
Recommended Preventative Maintenance
The following components are recommended to be replaced at the intervals
listed below to ensure vehicle uptime is maintained. The items below are to be
used as a guide as vehicle condition, application and maintenance procedures
can vastly vary, having significant effects on components.
• Replace Idler & Pulleys Every 500,000 km or 250,000 Litres of Fuel Burn or
7,500 Hours (Whichever comes first)
• Replace Air Compressor Every 500,000 km or 250,000 Litres of Fuel Burn or
7,500 Hours (Whichever comes first)
• Replace Coolant Pump Every 500,000 km or 250,000 Litres of Fuel Burn or
7,500 Hours (Whichever comes first)
• Replace Turbo Charger Every 750,000 km or 375,000 Litres of Fuel Burn or
11,250 Hours (Whichever comes first)
