Operating the transceiver

Press the
GPS Position Display
key.
The transceiver enters GPS Position Display Mode.
The following operations are identical even if the transceiver enters GPS Position Display Mode by pressing the
Menu
key.

The “
” icon blinks if 5 sec elapse after the transceiver
receives non-positioning data from the GPS receiver
unit and is not able to receive serial data.
“-” appears for all digits on the display if the transceiver
receives no location data from the GPS receiver unit,
such as immediately after the transceiver is turned ON.
Note
For Mobile, the transceiver automatically toggles between displaying the location (latitude and longitude) and the
altitude approximately every 5 sec.

The transceiver exits GPS Position Display Mode and then restores the previous display.
Note
“-” appears for all digits on the display if the transceiver is not receiving any location data from the GPS receiver unit, such
as when the transceiver is turned ON.
