As al rea dy men tio ned, the PULSE STAR II PRO re cog ni zes a disch ar ged
bat te ry du ring ope ra ti on and in di ca tes this by shorts beeps every eight
se conds. The bat te ry must be re char ged at this point.

As the PULSE STAR II PRO is equip ped with a sea led lead-acid bat te ry,
you can re char ge it any time re gard less of its cur rent char ging sta te
wit hout the risk of de gra ding its ca pa ci ty. It will even in crea se the bat -
te ry life if it is kept ful ly char ged all the time.

Un der nor mal con di tions, a com ple te char ge will last for 14 hours of
ope ra ti on (new bat te ry, 20° C, no con ti nu ous au dio sig nal). The bat te ry
con di ti on can be che cked at any time by hol ding the

MODE

switch to

the

RETUNE

po si ti on. If the me ter need le is near the black area, you

should re char ge.

Make sure that the PULSE STAR II PRO is swit ched off du ring char -
ging.

Char ging with the mains char ger (PS11)

Con nect the plug of the mains char ger with the COIL/CHARGER con nec -
tor at the rear side of the elec tro nics unit.

Due to the wide in put vol ta ge ran ge (100 to 240 volts), this charger can
be used in vir tu al ly any coun try when a suitable adap tor plug is used.
The char ger has a Eu ro plug for which the adapter plug must fit.

Af ter you have plug ged the char ger into a wall out let, the green LED

CHARGING

will turn on. Af ter 3 to 4 hours (or ear lier, if the bat te ry was

not com ple te ly disch ar ged), the red LED

BATTERY FULL

will turn on to

in di ca te that the bat te ry is ful ly char ged. Char ging is au to ma ti cal ly
stop ped and the char ging sys tem chan ges to hol ding sta te, ho we ver,
the char ger should not be plug ged in any lon ger than ne ces sa ry.
