As al rea dy men tio ned in chap ter 9, the PULSE STAR II PRO is equip ped
with a sea led lead-acid bat te ry. This al lows you to re char ge the bat te ry
at any time wit hout being con cer ned about capacity loss.

Ho we ver, like all bat te ries the lead-acid bat te ry of the PULSE STAR II
PRO suf fers from self-disch ar ging. To com pen sa te this, the bat te ry
must be re char ged at least every six months even if the unit is not in
use. If the bat te ry re mains in a disch ar ged con di ti on, it may lose ca pa ci -
ty or may even be de stroy ed. To pro tect the bat te ry from disch ar ging
com ple te ly when the unit has not been swit ched off un in ten tio nal ly,
the PULSE STAR II PRO au to ma ti cal ly turns off be fo re the bat te ry may
be co me da ma ged. By sim ply tur ning off and on with the con trol knob

listed below.

Im por tant: Use PANASONIC LC-R121R3PG (12V, 1.3Ah) sea led
lead-acid bat te ries only. This type of bat te ry is per fect ly suit ed for
the PULSE STAR II PRO char ging elec tro nics. Also, the bat te ry that
we supp ly is equip ped with the ne ces sa ry spe ci al 3M™ dual lock fa -
ste ners. It is not pos si ble to fix the bat te ry in si de the elec tro nics box
wit hout the fa ste ners.
