Returning an NSM4000 Appliance or Component for Repair or Replacement

If you need to return an NSM4000 appliance or hardware component (field-replaceable
unit [FRU]) to Juniper Networks for repair or replacement:

Determine the serial number of the appliance or component. For instructions, see

“Locating the Serial Number on an NSM4000 Appliance or Component” on page 128

Obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from JTAC as described in

“Contacting Customer Support to Obtain Return Materials Authorization for NSM4000
Appliances” on page 129

NOTE:

Do not return any component to Juniper Networks unless you have

first obtained an RMA number. Juniper Networks reserves the right to
refuse shipments that do not have an RMA number. Refused shipments
are returned to the customer through collect freight.
