At the moment of connecting a particular
X*AP
with a
VAP
the
VAP
configuration will be transferred to that
X*AP
. I.e. configuration must take place at the
VAP.
Which feature set a particular
X*AP
is allowed to control
you must decide here:

Profiles will be set up in the
EVENTS > Events > Preset Events
(Profiles)
area. They combine a number of presets of several
processing blocks.
IP Address
In the first line you define the access
policy for an "unknown"
X*AP
that
connects with this
VAP
for the first time.
The other lines are used to pre-define
features for known
X*APs
. When
enabling an unknown
X*AP
to connect
with this
VAP
, the respective
IP address
will be inserted automatically into the next
empty line.
When you restore the factory defaults after an update to the latest
VAP
firmware via
SYSTEM > Reboot > Restore Factory Default Settings
, you will find a number of
factory configured
preset events
also called
profiles

These profiles are based on factory default
presets of various function blocks.
The
VAP
offers a variety of such
pre-configured presets in all relevant
function blocks to ease the use of the
VAP
in most day-to-day applications.
