Troubleshooting
Control via KNX no longer works after
a period of time.
Cause: IP address is unknown. You use DHCP.
If you are using DHCP for your Sonos devices, you must configure
your router in such a way that the same IP address is always as-
signed to a Sonos device (fixed IP address).
You have entered the IP addresses for the Sonos devices in the
configuration for the master -slave groups. The IP address is used
to identify the Sonos devices. If a Sonos device now receives a
different IP address, it can no longer be addressed via the KNX
Sonos-Gateway.
Solution: Pair the assigned IP address with the MAC address of the
Sonos device concerned.
Please refer to your router's manual for information on how to
configure this.
Radio station playback takes a very
long time.
Cause: It takes a very long time to establish a connection with the
radio server for some radio stations. This has nothing to do with
the KNX Sonos-Gateway.
Solution: You can check this delay by selecting the radio station
directly in the official Sonos application.
•
Should the radio station not work at all, the URL may be inva-
lid. Add the valid URL by s electing the menu item <<Manage>>
<<Add radio s tation>> in the Sonos s oftware.
Playback commands no longer work
on the KNX.
Caus e: If the Sonos s ystem has s ignificantly more than 300 saved
Sonos playlis ts or radio stations , the playback commands may not
work on the KNX.
Solution: If pos s ible, delete any lis ts or radio s tations you no longer
require or contact Support, indicating the number of playlis ts and
radio s tations you us e.
A Sonos device does not res pond to
commands s uch as s end Play, Paus e,
Stop, Next track.
Caus e: The device is configured as a s lave. Only mas ters can be
controlled comprehens ively.

s hows whether a Sonos device is currently a s lave or
not.
Solution: Adjus t your configuration in the ETS.
Sonos device does not res pond to any
commands .
Caus es : You have created a stereo pair with the Sonos s oftware
and have indicated the wrong IP addres s in the ETS.
You need to enter the stereo pair's IP addres s within the ETS. This
is the IP addres s of the Sonos device which you have des ignated
the firs t device in the stereo pair in the Sonos s oftware.
Solution: Check ETS to s ee whether you have indicated the correct
IP addres s for the firs t device.
