4 Mounting and installation of the JVM-407B
Mounting the support arm
Select a suitable place for the device to be mounted.
The place where the device is to be installed must meet the following
requirements:
 The installation surface must be level. The surface should not be uneven.

The mounting surface must be resistant to bending to be able to withstand
the leverage forces from the support arm.
 Underneath the mounting surface, there must be enough space for cable
guides.
 The installation location must be accessible for tightening and loosening
screws.
Consider ergonomic principles.
Select a user-friendly place for installation:
 The controls must be easy to reach.
 The HMI screen must be easy to read.
Avoid installation locations that are unsuitable from an ergonomic point of
view:
 Extreme angles, which could make it difficult to see the HMI
 Unsuitable lighting conditions with reflection and glare

Concealed installation locations that are difficult for the user to access
Drill the required holes. Deburr the holes.
