Assembly Notes
•
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to screw (42) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to two screws (48) prior to
assembly.
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four mounting flange
screws (9) prior to assembly.
• Tighten four mounting flange screws (9) to 24 lb-ft
(32.5 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four generator assembly
mounting screws (28) prior to assembly.
• Tighten four generator assembly mounting screws
(28) to 13 lb-ft (17.6 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to eight isolation mount
screws (37) prior to assembly.
• Tighten eight isolation mount screws (37) to 19 lb-ft
(25.5 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four engine mounting
screws (44) prior to assembly.
• Tighten four engine mounting screws (44) to 19 lb-ft
(25.5 N·m).
• Apply Loctite
®
242 (Blue) to four engine plate screws
(46) prior to assembly.
• Tighten four engine plate screws (46) to 19 lb-ft (25.5
N·m).
• Install key (21) flush with face of crankshaft.
• Install engine coupler (23) flush with face of
crankshaft.
• Tighten engine coupler screw (22) to 30 lb-ft (40.6
N·m).
Engine Service (Gas)
A separate engine manual, prepared by the engine
manufacturer, is supplied with this machine. Refer to the
engine manufacturer’s manual for all engine-related
service.
Proper attention to the engine manufacturer’s manual
directions will ensure maximum service life of the engine.

2. Raise the hood.

Direction of arrow indicates front of machine.
3. Disconnect four filling hoses (9) from the four upper
8V batteries (3).

Loctite
®
242 (Blue)
Be sure that the key switch is off, all electrical
accessories are turned off, and the 48-volt power
connector is disconnected before starting work
on machine.
• Battery posts, terminals, and related
accessories contain lead and lead
compounds. Wash your hands after handling.
• Always wear eye protection when servicing
battery.
