DTC: Generator Fault 59
Rectifier temperature less than –20° F (–29° C).
DTC: Generator Fault 88
Current sense fault.
Power Circuit
Machine does not power up.
Accessory socket missing 12 volts.
Probable Cause
Remedy
Faulty connections.
Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion
and tight.
Faulty wiring harness.
Make sure wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to machine frame.
Faulty generator control unit.
Substitute the generator control unit with a known good generator control unit. If system
now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause
Remedy
Faulty connections.
Check connections; make sure connections are clean and tight.
Faulty wiring harness.
Make sure wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to machine frame.
Faulty 150 amp shunt resistor.
Replace 150 amp shunt resistor.
Faulty generator control unit.
Substitute the generator control unit with a known good generator control unit. If system
now works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause
Remedy
48V battery pack fully discharged.
Measure voltage between 48V battery pack connector terminals. Voltage must be greater
than 43 volts. If voltage is less than 43 volts, charge the 48V battery pack.
48V battery pack cables.
Check cables between the 48V battery pack batteries.
Faulty 48V battery pack ground circuit.
Make sure 48V battery negative (–) cable terminals are clean and tight.
48V power connector.
Check 48V power connection. Make sure connector is clean and tight.
Open 150A fuse in PDU.
Test fuse. (See “150A and 300A Fuses Test” on page 4-127.)
Faulty key switch.
Test key switch. (See “Key Switch Test” on page 4-129.)
Faulty LCD.
Substitute the LCD with a known good LCD. If system now works, re-install old
component to verify fault returns.
Faulty PDU.
Substitute the PDU with a known good PDU. If system now works, re-install old
component to verify fault returns.
Probable Cause
Remedy
Open 12A fuse.
Test 12A fuse located in armrest harness located under the seat. (See “Accessory Socket
Fuse Test” on page 4-128.)
Faulty wiring.
Make sure wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to machine frame.
