DC voltage is above the high trip level.

DTC: Steering Fault 3212

DC voltage is above the hardware defined trip level.

DTC: Steering Fault 3221

DC bus voltage is below the low trip level.

DTC: Steering Fault 4210

Motor temperature is above 356° F (180° C).

Probable Cause

Remedy

Stuck throttle.

Check throttle linkage; adjust and repair.

Faulty throttle actuator.

Test actuator. (See “Throttle Actuator Test (Diesel)” on page 4-134.) (See “Throttle

Actuator Test (Gas)” on page 4-135.)

Faulty steering control unit.

Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now

works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Faulty OLM/BRC unit

Substitute the OLM/BRC unit with a known good OLM/BRC unit. If system now works,

re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Probable Cause

Remedy

Stuck throttle.

Check throttle linkage; adjust and repair.

Faulty throttle actuator.

Test actuator. (See “Throttle Actuator Test (Diesel)” on page 4-134.) (See “Throttle

Actuator Test (Gas)” on page 4-135.)

Faulty steering control unit.

Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now

works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Faulty OLM/BRC unit

Substitute the OLM/BRC unit with a known good OLM/BRC unit. If system now works,

re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Low battery.

Charge battery.

Faulty wiring harness.

Make sure steering control unit wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to

machine frame.

Faulty PDU.

Substitute the PDU with a known good PDU.

Faulty steering control unit.

Substitute the steering control unit with a known good steering control unit. If system now

works, re-install old component to verify fault returns.

Probable Cause

Remedy

Rear wheel obstructed.

Check rear wheel for obstruction.

Steering motor chain.

Check steering motor chain tension.

Check steering motor chain for binding or damage.

Steering yoke bearing.

Check steering yoke bearing.

Faulty connections.

Check steering motor connections; make sure connections are dry, clean of corrosion

and tight.

Make sure wiring harness is free of nicks and cuts and not pinched to machine frame.

Faulty steering motor.

Substitute the steering motor with a known good steering motor. If system now works,

re-install old component to verify fault returns.
