ual

6 Type in the Compound Name for the peak.
7 The left RT(s) and right RT (s) columns define the retention time window. Edit

the retention time start and end points. The retention time window displays as a
yellow shaded bar surrounding the peak.

8 Type the concentration of the compound as listed on the calibration gas standard

certificate of analysis. Click mole% under Concentration to change units to ppm,
and vice versa. An area count (in μVs) is generated in the Area column. The Fit
Type Linear Forced Zero populates by default.

9 Click on the icon to display the calibration curve. A goodness of fit (R

2

) value

displays. The slope of the calibration curve corresponds to the compound’s
response factor.

10 Repeat steps 4 to 9 for all compounds.
