these agents initially but, in most cases, you supply additional
information when you send a file.
As the administrator, you determine if the users can edit or create scan
templates by requiring the administrator password to access these
functions. To protect scan template creation and editing:

Log in as an administrator.
2 Click the Administration tab.
3 Click the Setup subtab.
4 Click the Scan Agents link.
5 In the
Require Administrator password to create or edit scan templates?
pull-
down list, select
Disable
or
Enable
.
6 Click
OK
to save the setting.
Configuring the Send to File Agent
The Send to File agent stores the scanned file on the controller or a file
server.

Log in as an administrator.
2 Click the Administration tab.
3 Click the Setup subtab.
4 Click the
Scan Agents
link.
5 Click the
Send to File
link.
6 Click the
Disable access to GL_Share
check box to prevent access to the
storage path.
7 For the Storage Path, select either
Send scanned documents to a subfolder in
the storage path (GrouNumber-GroupName-TemplateNumber-TemplateName)
or
Send scanned documents directly to the storage path
.
8 Under Storage Maintenance, select either
Do not delete documents
automatically
or
Delete documents after <X> day(s)
and enter a numerical
value for the number of days.
9 Under Destination, select
Do not allow any network folder to be used as a
destination
,
Allow the following Windows network folder to be used as a destination
,
or
Allow user to select Windows network folder to be used as a destination
.

If you selected
Allow the following Windows network folder to be used as a
destination
, enter the
Network Path
,
Login Username
, and
Password
, then
re-enter the password in the
Confirm Password
field.
Note: When creating a scan to file template with a network folder
destination on a Microsoft Domain, enter the
path
name as:
