Dolby-E Alignment
It is important to maintain a proper timing relationship between the Dolby-E header and the first line of
video especially when recording video with embedded audio on tape transports. This is commonly
known as the
guard band
. On the FS1 and XD1, the Dolby-E alignment timing is determined by the value
of the
SDI 1
or
SDI 2
Dolby E Start Line
embedder controls in
EMB x >Controls
.
Note:
If Dolby E is embedded, the module’s output frame rate must match the frame rate of the Dolby E
stream.
