Inspection
To inspect and clean the fibers, follow these steps:
1.
Ensure the fiber is not "live."
WARNING!
Eye damage may occur if an optical instrument such as a microscope, magnifying glass, or eye loupe
is used to stare at an energized fiber end.
2.
Inspect the fiber endface with a fiberscope.
3.
If the fiber endface is clean, return to the installation instructions.
If the connector is dirty, proceed to the dry cleaning instructions below.
