Genlock and DARS
Video conversion in the XD1 locks to
the primary external reference frame input that can be either tri-
level sync (1080i/1080p/720p) or bi-level sync (NTSC/PAL-B color black, block burst). The secondary
frame external reference can be a backup to the primary, or it can be used for AES-11 compliance, by
applying DARS to the secondary external reference input.
FS1 and XD1 modules support the following reference inputs:
•
NTSC/PAL
•
720p/50, 720p/59, 720p/60
•
1080i/50, 1080i/59, 1080i/60
•
1080p25, 1080p/29, 1080p/30
In addition:
•
720p/50 reference is accepted only when all outputs are 720p/50, 1080p/50, or
1080p/50DL
•
720p/59 reference is accepted only when all outputs are 720p/59, 1080p/59, or
1080p/59DL
•
720p/60 reference is accepted only when all outputs are 720p/60
