Increasing Memory Capacity

Note:
It may take some time to complete
the memory test.

d) Select Test from the main menu of Easy-Setup; then

select Memory.

The memory test starts.

Yes

You have installed the DIMM and DIMM adapter
correctly. Exit Easy-Setup and go to next step.

You need to reinstall the DIMM adapter. Go to
page 166 and reinstall the DIMM adapter.

Slide the latch

to lock the memory slot cover.

To prevent the installed DIMMs from being removed from the
computer, attach a lock to the security keyhole. See page
155.

Close the keyboard and reconnect all cables.

You have completed the installation or removal of the DIMM.

Note:
If you changed the memory installed
in the computer, you need to create
a new hibernation file.

If you plan to use hibernation mode, see “Creating the Hibernation
File” on page 129.
