Using the Video Functions

Choose Video Source from the Options menu; then choose
the type of video connector your video source uses (Video or
S-Video) and Auto for Color Standard or Standard Video for
Video Standard. Then click on OK.
The Auto option determines automatically whether your video
source produces an NTSC or a PAL video signal, and sets up
the video for you. If you know what type of video signal your
video source produces, you can specify it yourself.
As a rule, equipment sold in Japan and North America
produces an NTSC signal, whereas equipment sold in Europe
and other parts of the world produces a PAL signal.

When the image you want to capture appears in the Preview
window, choose Single Frame from the Capture menu, or click
on the Single Frame button (the fourth button from the right).

Choose Save Single Frame from the File menu to save it as a
bitmap file (with a .BMP extension).
Using the DVP Help System
To learn more about DVP or DVP Capture, choose Contents from
the Help menu to display the Contents screen of the online Help
system, or press the F1 key.
To open a specific online help topic:

Start DVP; then press F1.

On the Help window's toolbar, click on Search.

Type the search word you want to find (such as “compression”).

Click on Show Topics and select a Topic Name; then click on
Go To.
