the
following
steps
to
complete
the
installation:
1.
Install
the
server
cover
(see
“Installing
the
cover”
on
page
19).
2.
Connect
the
cables
and
power
cords
(see
“Connecting
the
cables”).
3.
If
you
have
added
or
removed
hardware
from
the
server,
update
the
server
configuration
as
necessary
(see
“Starting
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program”
on
page
13).

User’s
Guide
on
the
IBM
xSeries
Documentation
CD
for
additional
information
about
using
the
Configuration/Setup
Utility
program.
Connecting
the
cables
The
following
illustrations
show
the
locations
of
the
input
and
output
connectors
on
the
server.
Detailed
cabling
instructions
are
in
the
Rack
Installation
Instructions
that
come
with
the
server.
Notes:
1.
You
must
turn
off
the
server
before
connecting
cables
to
or
disconnecting
any
cables
from
the
server
(see
“Turning
off
the
server”
on
page
10).
2.
See
the
documentation
that
comes
with
the
options
for
additional
cabling
instructions.
It
might
be
easier
for
you
to
route
cables
before
you
install
certain
options.
3.

printed
