5 – Preventive maintenance

Preventive maintenance

Put hydraulic fluid inside the narrow end of the seal housing.

Put the seal housing on the plunger with the narrow end toward the end cap.

Press the rod seal into the seal housing.

10.

Turn the seal housing so that the weep hole faces down.

11.

Push the seal housing tightly against the plunger bearing.

12.

Turn the high-pressure seal backup so that 1 weep hole is in line with the seal housing weep hole.

13.

Put the high-pressure seal backup on the plunger and push it against the seal housing.

14.

Make sure that the bottom weep holes are aligned.

15.

If the proximity switch was removed for this procedure, reinstall it.
