3.11.3 Enabling CHAP Authentication
Enable CHAP authentication for an iSCSI port.
Prerequisite
Note the following when enabling CHAP authentication:

Before you set a CHAP user, please make sure that you have added a port to the host.
l
The CHAP user of the iSCSI port is added.
l
The CHAP authentication status of an iSCSI port must be
Available
.
Procedure
Step 1
On the OSM3.0 main interface, click
Mapping
. Then, in the
Mapping
navigation tree, click
iSCSI port
. The
iSCSI port
interface is displayed. See
Figure 3-35
. The information about all
the iSCSI ports is displayed in the interface.
Step 2
Select the iSCSI port whose CHAP authentication is
Available
. Click
Set CHAP User
. The
Added CHAP User
interface is displayed. See
Figure 3-36
.
Step 3
Click
Start CHAP Authentication
. The
Confirm
dialog box is displayed.
Step 4
Confirm the settings and enter
yes
. Click
OK
. The system prompts
"Operation
succeeds."
