Creating a RAID 0 group
Step 3
Enter the parameters for creating a RAID 0 group.

Parameter

Name
This parameter indicates the name of the RAID group. Note the following
when you set the parameter.
l
The name must be unique.
l
The name can contain letters, numbers, underscores (_) , and hyphens
(-), and the first character cannot be a hyphen.
l
The name contains 1 to 32 characters.
Level

After you select a disk type, the information about the free disks of this
type is displayed.
a: The coffer disks of the S5600 controller subrack are the FC disks. In the S5600, the FC
hard disks, the serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) hard disks and the SSD hard
disks can be inserted interchangeably in the same subrack or between different subracks, but
it is recommended that use hard disk of the same type for the same subrack. In addition, the
RAID group cannot be built on hard disks of different types.
Step 4
Select free disks from the storage system as the member disks of a RAID 0 group.
To create a RAID 0 group, the number of the selected hard disks must be larger than 1 and
smaller than 25.
Step 5
Click
OK
. The
Confirm
dialog box is displayed.
