Parameter description of creating RAID 6

Name
When naming the created RAID group, note the following items:
l
The name of the newly-created RAID group cannot be identical to
that of the existing RAID group.
l
The name can contain letters, numbers, underscores (_), and hyphens
(-), and the first character cannot be a hyphen.
l
The name length allows 1 to 32 characters or 1 to 16 Chinese
characters.

After you select a disk type, the information about the available hard
disks of this type is displayed.
Step 4
Choose the free hard disks in the storage system to compose member disks in RAID 6.
When creating RAID 6, you need to choose at least four free hard disks.

. When the system prompts

3.2.5 Creating a RAID 10 Group
RAID 10 is suitable for services that requires high performance and reliability, such as database
servers. RAID 10 can be created conveniently on the OSM3.0.
Procedure
Step 1
On the OSM3.0 main interface, click
Service
. Then, in the
Service
navigation tree, expand the
RAID Group
node. Click
RAID Group Management
.
Step 2
On the right of the
RAID Group Management
interface, click
Create RAID Group
. The
Create RAID Group
interface is displayed. See
