Parameter of an iSCSI host port
Parameter
Description
IP Address
This parameter indicates the IP address of the iSCSI host port on a
controller. When setting this parameter, note that:
l
Each field of the IP address cannot be null. In addition, each field
must be an integer.
l
The value of the first field ranges from 1 to 223 and the values of
the other fields range from 0 to 255.
NOTE
Avoid using special IP address such as broadcast IP address, gateway IP
address, and so on.
Subnet Mask
This parameter indicates the subnet mask of the IP address of the
iSCSI host port.
CAUTION
Storage devices can be accessed by the AS that is not in the same network segment as themselves.
If the IP address of the NIC port on the AS is in a different subnet from the IP address of the
iSCSI host port on the controller, go to
Step 4
; if the two IP addresses are in the same subnet,

Add Route
