Endurance Server Maintenance

Rebooting the Endurance Server

Before you reboot the Endurance server, consider the fact that completing this procedure
removes your server from service. Make sure that you schedule an appropriate time and that you
have completed any necessary backups

before

starting this procedure.

To reboot the Endurance server, from Endurance Manager issue the Server Shutdown
command.

Shutting Down the Endurance Server

Before you shut down the Endurance server, consider the fact that completing this procedure
removes your server from service. Make sure that you schedule an appropriate time and that you
have completed any necessary backups

before

starting this procedure.

To shut down the Endurance server, from Endurance Manager, issue the command Server
Shutdown Without IOP Reboot.

After the IOPs are shut down, when prompted to do so by the IOP, you can safely power off the
server if you want to do so.
