SERVICING YOUR OUTBOARD MOTOR

2. Place a suitable container below the

drain bolt hole to catch the used oil,

and then remove the engine oil

drain bolt, and sealing washer.

3. Allow the used oil to drain

completely, then install a new

sealing washer on the engine oil

drain bolt, and tighten it securely.

DRAIN BOLT TIGHTENING

TORQUE:

17 lbf·ft (23 N·m , 2.3 kgf·m)

Improper disposal of engine oil can

be harmful to the environment. If

you change your own oil, please

dispose of the used oil properly. Put

it in a sealed container, and take it

to a recycling center. Do not throw

it in the trash, pour it on the ground

or down a drain.
