Chapter 6 – General operation notes
Before starting operation
Prior to the test run, the following items should be checked:
1)
Make sure that the power lines (input power supply terminals L1, L2, L3 or L, N) and output terminals
(U, V and W) are connected correctly.
2)
Make sure that there are no mistakes in the signal line connections.
3)
The grounding terminal must be grounded.
4)
Terminals other than those marked as grounding terminals must not be grounded.
5)
The inverter must be installed vertically on a non-flammable mounting surface (e.g. steel).
6)
Remove any residue from wiring work like stray pieces of wire and others. Also, make sure that no tolls
are left behind.
7)
Make shure that the wires connected to the output terminals are not short-circuited or grounded.
8)
All the terminal screws must be sufficiently tightened.
9)
The configurable maximum output frequency parameter must be chosen in accordance with the
maximum frequency of the connected motor and machine.
Do not carry out any withstand voltage tests because the inverter has a surge absorber between the mains
circuit terminals and the ground.
Test run
Below an example for an inverter connection is shown. For the initial tests, frequency adjustment and
forward and reverse running commands should be carried out via the digital operator in order to check the
inverter’s correct functioning.
