Communications Setup
Cable Required
RS232 Flow Meter to PC Cable Assembly, 10 ft (3.0 m) long, 6-pin connector on one end,
9-pin D-type connector on the other end (P/N 1727) (9-pin to 25-pin D-type adapter
included).

8.1.2 RS232 Programming
Note:
Long runs of RS232 cable, especially if they are run near large motors or fluorescent lights
can cause communication errors and may require a slower baud rate.
1.
From the Main Menu, select
OPTIONS > ADVANCED OPTIONS > COMMUNICATIONS
SETUP > RS232 SETUP
.
2.
Press
CHANGE CHOICE
to select a baud rate for data communications; 1200, 2400,
4800, 9600 or 19200 baud.
The higher the baud rate setting, the faster data will transfer. Set the baud rate to the
highest setting allowed by the computer. The baud rate must correspond to the baud rate
selected in the software. Press
ACCEPT
