Backup and Restore via USB Flash Drive
Structures created and measurement data saved at the test
instrument can be backed up to and restored from a USB flash
drive.
A USB flash drive must be connected to the test instrument to
this end. The respective functions are grayed out at the display if
this is not the case.
Backup
➭
Connect a USB flash drive to the test instrument (see section
10.1 “Use of USB Storage Devices”).
➭
Select the
Backup
function under Setup 1/3 > Database 1/2.
The test instrument creates a backup file on the USB flash
drive directly in the root directory. The backup files on the USB
flash drive are named by means of a time stamp (file exten-

Attention!
!
The memory structure in the test instrument or in the
connected USB flash drive may be destroyed if data
transmission is interrupted.
The transfer dialog is shown in the test instrument’s dis-
play for as long as data is being transferred. During the
transfer procedure, do not under any circumstances dis-

removed.
– the test instrument from supply power.
Wait an additional 5 seconds AFTER the transfer dialog
closes before removing the USB flash drive or turning off
the test instrument.
