Determine whether or not the de-
vice under test is defective.

In the case of DUTs which are in-
tended for operation at an outlet
that’s protected with a 16 A fuse, a
short-circuit may be detected
under certain circumstances if, for
example, they include a PTC
thermistor (e.g. large floodlights).
Be sure to use a 3-phase test
adapter in order to test DUTs of this
sort (e.g. the AT3-IIIE).

You can deactivate this short-cir-
cuit test in the sequence parame-
ters at your own risk.

PE.

Determine whether or not the de-
vice under test is defective. Repeat
the visual inspection.
Error During Use of the Test Probe

During protective conductor resis-
tance measurement (test current:
200 mA), more than 200 mA have
flowed via the probe.
–
During leakage current measure-
ment, more than 12 mA have
flowed via the probe.
The electronic fuse resets itself.
Despite this, implement the following
measures:

Check the fuse link next to the
probe connection.
➭
Before repeating the protective
conductor resistance measure-
ment, make sure that the conduc-
tors are potential-free.
➭
Leakage current measurement:
Perform a touch current measure-
ment (differential method) in order
to determine whether or not your
DUT generates excessively high
leakage current.
