2.3.17. MEDIA SENSOR
The MEDIA SENSOR submenu is used to activate or deactivate the media
sensor. The sensor detects the end of the media thereby preventing damage
to the cutting strip and knife tip.
After pressing the
key, press the
or
jogging key until the desired
setting is displayed on the LCD. Press
to confirm the new setting.
The active media sensor setting is marked with an asterisk (
!
) on the LCD.
2.3.18. SENSOR SETUP
The SENSOR SETUP submenu is used to activate or deactivate the media. After
pressing the
key, follow the instructions on the LCD. Put a piece of media
halfway on the sensor and then press the
key. The LCD will indicate
whether or not the sensor is working.
2.3.19. CALIBRATE X/Y
To calibrate is to bring the length of the cut lines to within specifications.
For example, if a cut line should measure exactly 100 mm, the cutter can be
adjusted to correct for any discrepancies. First, make sure the media is loaded,
and then press the
key to perform a calibration test. Measure the lines
and enter the measured x-value by pressing the jogging keys. The
and
jogging keys change the value in large increments, while the
and
jogging keys change the value in small increments. A fter pressing the
key, the y-value can be changed in the same way.
Do not perform this test when the machine is working properly.
