HELP

•

The HELP key provides information on each key function. The help message generally gives 
associated functions and ways of changing the use of each key. When the display shows the 
main pressure display, the user can get help on any of the keys on the key-pad. To do this:

•

Press the required key for information, then press HELP.

•

Press 

CLEAR/QUIT

 to exit the help system.

ENTER

•

Press 

ENTER

 to complete a numeric entry.

CLEAR/QUIT + ENTER (ABORT)

•

When 

CLEAR/QUIT

 and 

ENTER

 are pressed simultaneously, the ADTS 505 restarts from the 

power-up sequence.

•

When these keys are pressed all output valves immediately close, isolating the aircraft 
systems.

•

The 

ABORT

 function should only be used as a last resort:

•

When a restart is required after the system has shutdown displaying an error message.

•

As an emergency measure.

•

If the system is restarted by pressing 

ABORT

, it vents to atmosphere during the power-up 

sequence. The aircraft systems remain at the original pressures. At a later stage in the 
power-up sequence, the aircraft system pressures are sampled and the Ps (static) and Pt 
(pitot) channels reconnected with a small pressure loss.
