4.1.2.4 Dual G5 Installations Requiring Instrument Panel Modification

The minimum vertical distance needed between two G5 units is 3.6 inches center to center. Some
instrument panels may require modification of existing holes to gain the needed 3.6 inch spacing.

Figure 4-9 Required Vertical Spacing Between G5 Units

The panel may be modified by enlarging one hole or both, up to a maximum of 0.25 inch per instrument
hole. The proposed positions must be such that neither G5 unit is obscured by the glareshield, control
yoke or other object.
