Calibrating Axle Pulses By Distance

Troubleshooting Calibration By Distance

Error Message

Condition

Possible Solutions

Value below min. Setting to min.

The 5100ex recorded
less than 5000
pulses.

This may be caused
by a disconnected or
intermittent
speedometer signal
or not driving far
enough.

Verify the wiring and
connections of the
speedometer cable.

Verify the
Speedometer Type
is set properly.

Increase the Low
Trip Point.

Decrease the High
Trip Point.

Value above max. Setting to max.

The 5100ex recorded
more than 200,000
pulses.

This may be caused
by excess noise, a
connection to a digital
communication circuit
on the vehicle, or
driving too far.

Verify the wiring and
connections of the
speedometer cable.

Verify the
Speedometer Type
is set properly.

Decrease the Low
Trip Point.

Increase the High
Trip Point.
