Laser irradiation
The Checkbox is a device of laser class 2 as per EN
60825−1:1994 + A1:2002 + A2:2001 (class II as per CFR
21§1040.10, USA), but contains a laser of class 3B.
Note therefore the following:
·
Do not open the device.
·
Do not remove any housing parts (e.g. prism supports,
covers).
·
Operate only with intact housing.
Avoid injury to the eyes caused by the laser beam.
Observe the following behaviour rules when dealing with
lasers of class 2:
·
Do not place any mirror or reflecting objects in the laser
beam.
·
Never look straight into the laser beam and never direct
the beam at the eyes of other people.
·
If the laser beam meets the eye, close your eyes and
move your head away from the beam.
Handling laser devices is subject to the accident preven
tion regulations. Users must be instructed about the risks
of looking directly into the laser beam.
