ZEROING
GAUGE
PRESSURE
(BAROMETRIC
PRESSURE
SETUP):
Since
the
P2131
sterilizer
is
designed
for
altitudes
ranging
from
sea
level
to
8,000
feet,
the
“BAROMETRIC
SETUP”
screen
is
used
to
set
the
gauge
pressure
in
the
PLC
to
zero.
NOTE:
The
sterilizer
control
system
uses
absolute
pressure
transmitters
for
cycle
operation.
By
pressing
ZERO,
the
controller
knows
the
exact
atmospheric
pressure
so
that
the
chamber
can
be
vented
consistently
to
0
psig
(equal
to
atmospheric
pressure).
This
allows
the
chamber
door
to
be
opened
easily,
and
not
be
locked
with
a
vacuum.
1.
From
the
“CONFIRM
SETUP”
screen,
press
the
“BAROMETRIC
PRESSURE
SETUP”
button.
2.
Open
the
chamber
door
completely
so
that
the
chamber
and
pressure
transmitters
are
exposed
to
atmospheric
pressure.
3.
Once
the
door
is
wide
open,
press
the
“ZERO”
button
on
the
“BAROMETRIC
SETUP”
screen.
4.
Press
the
“BACK”
button
to
return
to
the
“CONFIRM
SETUP”
screen.
5.
Press
“CONFIRM”
to
proceed.

Assemble
the
items
to
be
sterilized
with
the
appropriate
process
challenge
devices
(PCDs),
biological
indicators,
chemical
integrators,
etc.
